Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of pet care.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends in pet care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming is required.
- Strong skills in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both pets and groomers.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician or experience as a Veterinary Assistant is advantageous but not required.
