Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our mobile pet grooming team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services and at least ONE FULL YEAR Grooming experience. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of pets while ensuring a positive experience for their owners. Your expertise in animal care and grooming techniques will help maintain the health and appearance of our furry clients.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their grooming needs and preferences.
- Handle pets safely and comfortably, ensuring their well-being throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, particularly with larger breeds or special needs animals.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to provide high-quality services.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation within the facility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or in related fields such as veterinary assistant, pet sitting, or animal care is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
- Knowledge of dog handling techniques and behavior to ensure safety during grooming sessions.
- Experience in dog training or equine care is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for larger animals.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care and well-being.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific grooming instructions.
