Duties
- Perform systematic bathing and drying of pets, ensuring they are clean and comfortable.
- Brush and comb pets to remove mats and tangles before grooming
- Trim nails and clean ears as part of the grooming process.
- Release anal glands.
- Monitor pets for any signs of discomfort or health issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools.
- Assist in handling pets safely to minimize stress during grooming sessions
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs
Experience
- Previous experience in veterinary settings, kennels, or pet grooming is preferred but not required.
- Does not have a fear of dogs.
- Previous good standing work history.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is crucial for success in this role.
