Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. If you have a love for animals and possess excellent grooming skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning for various breeds of dogs and cats
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues or abnormalities
- Provide exceptional customer service by consulting with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized and maintained
- Handle pets with care and compassion, ensuring their safety throughout the grooming process
- Monitor pets for any signs of stress or discomfort during grooming procedures
- Assist with other tasks as needed, such as kennel cleaning or pet sitting
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or in a related field
- Knowledge of different dog breeds, including their specific grooming needs
- Familiarity with grooming tools and equipment such as clippers, shears, brushes, and nail trimmers
- Experience in handling animals safely and effectively
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods of time
