About Us:
Paw Oasis Pet Resort in The Colony is a state of the art pet resort with beautiful amenities and new equipment. We opened in late August of 2021 and boasts 10,000 square feet of indoor space for overnight boarding, multiple indoor play rooms, and 30,000 square feet of brand new dog turf play areas including a fancy bone shaped pool for the dogs! We are searching for a Pet Groomer/Stylist with high standards, a professional attitude, and excellent customer service to join our team. Must be able to safely groom 5- 7 dogs daily without a dedicated bather. Paw Oasis Pet Resort offers dog boarding, dog daycare, dog training, and grooming. We also offer discounted and free services to employees, including groomers. We groom Tuesday - Saturday and need availability during those days. This position will operate on a 5 day a week schedule Tuesday to Saturday.
Location: 4770 Windhaven Parkway, The Colony TX 75056.

Tuesday - Saturday 8:30 to when finished
Compensation:
Commission, W2 plus excellent tips

What we are Looking for:
If you have a positive, friendly attitude, and are a fun-loving energetic person who can get along with and work well with others and take direction from management, and follow a set of policies and procedures, you might be a great fit! Also good communication skills with customers and staff are a must. Must be knowledgeable of all dog breeds and their standard cuts, have a proper animal handling skills, and must have own basic equipment (shears, clippers, brushes and combs etc. ) We provide bathing tub, state of the art tables, shampoos, bandanas/bows, scents.
Minimum Requirements:
Open Availability- we prefer 3+ years of paid experience as a professional trained groomer . Must have a a current portfolio and good references required. Ability to groom dogs of all sizes according to breed standards or customer request. Cat grooming experience is also preferred but not required.
-Excellent scissoring abilities
- Ability to take direction from others and to work independently or as a team- Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance
- Your own grooming equipment (clippers, blades, shears,) Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs without assistance. Working around major holidays is a must as this is a peak time. Cat grooming is a plus!
Other:
No marketing is required by groomer. Groomer discusses groom with customer at checkin. Our reception desk schedules and checks in/out all dogs, no phone work required for groomer. Huge client base and growing daily. We will always try to upsell grooming services for you at time of scheduling. If you sell more add-on services, you receive higher commission.
