The Wellness Shop for dogs LLC is a small business in Olathe, KS which opened its first storefront January 2024. We are professional, customer-centric and engaging.

This is position is a LEGAL Self-Employed position. No benefits will be provided at this time. Pay will be 100% commission and tips less a table rental fee per month. You are free to make your own hours and schedule. Must bring your own clientele, tools, additional product, liability insurance, LLC and equipment. Owner will provide shampoos (you are free to use your own), bathing area, towels, force dryer, kennel space, and grooming table.
This position is ideal for a groomer who works well independently and would like the benefits of having their own business without the extra work of running a business. The preferred person to fill this position would have a go-getter attitude, be interested in working as a partner with the owner to help grow the business, and someone passionate to create a better experience than the conventional grooming salon. Must take care and pride in their work, and have a strong desire to maintain our 5-star rating.
Responsibilities:
- Groom pets according to specific breed standards and customer requests
- Bathe, brush, and trim pets' fur to maintain their appearance and hygiene
- Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing as needed
- Assess pets for any skin or coat issues and recommend appropriate treatments
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a pet groomer or in a related field is required
-Experience with health, wellness, veterinary knowledge a bonus
- Knowledge of different dog breeds and their grooming requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners, Spanish speaking a bonus
- Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments in a calm and gentle manner
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform heavy lifting when necessary
