NEW Grooming Salon in Natomas !!! We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, ensuring that each pet receives the highest level of grooming and attention. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to dogs and other pets, maintaining their hygiene, appearance, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any observed health issues.
- Provide basic animal care such as feeding, exercising, and administering medications as needed.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices in animal care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in animal handling and restraint to ensure safety during grooming sessions.
- Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming requirements is a plus.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or animal care principles is beneficial.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
