We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional grooming services that meet the needs of both pets and their owners. This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
Assess each pet’s grooming needs and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding services and care.
Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff as necessary.
Provide basic pet care advice to owners regarding grooming maintenance between visits.
Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance service quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or animal handling is preferred.
Strong skills in dog handling, animal care, and animal restraint techniques.
Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming requirements is beneficial.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
Certification in pet grooming or related training is a plus but not required.

This opportunity has some flexibility. We are open to working with any experienced groomer either as a contractor or employee. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.03 - $20.61 per hour
