Barkin' Creek Dog Kitchen & Bath (a W2 Employer) is seeking experienced groomers to add to our incredible team. Our grooming staff, who has a collective 120 years of experience, is looking for someone to compliment the team and help us continue our growing success. We have two locations in South Austin, as well as at the Domain NORTHSIDE and our newest Rainey Street location. We are looking for groomers who are keen on learning, excited about working with other animal-loving folks, and be an incredible personality when it comes to customer service.
Barkin' Creek Dog Kitchen & Bath has many components. At our South Lamar location, the second floor features a state-of-the-art Spa. Downstairs, we cook human quality food - but for dogs, in addition to an incredible selection of the latest dog toys, home goods, outdoor accessories and tech for your pooch. Our Zilker, Domain NORTHSIDE, and Rainey locations have state-of-the-art Spas and a highly curated retail space that showcases our hand-crafted dog meals and treats. Qualifications/Skills/References
- 2+ years of experience in Grooming required. (This is not including time spent as a bather)
- Know how to handle dogs with patience and understanding with positive reinforcement methods.
- Be able to adhere/adapt to a Salon-Style grooming schedule.
- Ability to educate customers about our services and their pets' care in a professional manner.
- Provide a portfolio of your work.
- Work a full 10 hour shift
